Re: Newbie questions
AnnR, Grace note is the far right symbol in the "Draw/Notes" menu selection. In the "Draw/All" window it's after the triplet symbol. To place a new brace, select the brace tool from the "Draw/Staff" menu selection. Click in the score where you want the new brace. Select the staff tool from the tool ...

Re: More Bass Clef Keg Signatures
Harper1,
I don't know how this went unnoticed for so long. Thanks for taking the time to point out the obvious. Look for an update soon.

Willie, The current version of Musette only works with 8-bit ASCII characters, not unicode. This is on the list for a future version. Some 8-bit ASCII fonts have non-English characters with codes from 128-255. For now, it depends on your keyboard and the font you select. If you or anyone else finds ...

Re: .mus files don't open directly
StanT,
I checked Vista and had the same problem. The files open normally inside Musette with "File/open". I'll investigate this more.

Re: Setting new defaults
StanT,
Musette keeps the previous staff dimensions when you start a new file. Load an existing file with your preferred settings before starting a new file. For now, Musette always starts up without the "Draw All" window, but it's on the list for future enhancements.

Re: Printer functionality and Microsoft
Jack,
Musette uses the printer set as the default in Windows Control Panel. I don't know which version of Windows you're using, but in the Control Panel's printer setup, you can probably right-click on the printer you want to use and make it the default.

Re: Multiple Staves Lines - Change Part 1 Part2 text
Highlight the first brace. Menu option "Setup/Properties" lets you edit the part names. If you don't want any name, set the name to a single space character.

Re: Measure Numbers - Removal of Measure Numbers
The link didn't get copied correctly from the old forum. Thanks for the notice. I corrected the link. Another option is to download the experimental V2.10.0 from http://musettemusic.com/beta.shtml which has a checkbox in the staff setup dialog to enable or disable measure numbers.

You have the latest version but you must either be in demo mode "Setup/Demo" or upgrade to the consort edition.

Re: Staff Size
The manual says "Draw/Setup" but it should be "Setup/Draw" for the menu selection. Assuming you've selected a staff or brace item in the green draw menu toolbar, use "Setup/Draw" to bring up the staff dialog.

ceruleanthought, 1. Tuplets work like beams. Read the help file topic "Features/Beaming Notes". If that doesn't help post a followup question. 2. Highlight the first brace. Menu option "Setup/Properties" lets you edit the part names. If you don't want any name, set the name to a single space charact...

Re: Staff Size
The help file section "Features/Staves and Braces" explains how to change staff size. Staff size changes apply to all staves. You can't indent just one staff.

V2.9.9 is the latest official release. V2.10 is an experimental pre-release but F8 and F9 should work the same. Try reinstalling to restore the help file.
