You should be using the "Setup/Properties" menu option with a single staff highlighted. The "Features/Staves and Braces/Changing Parts in the Score" help file topic has more information.

Click menu option "Draw/Time", click "5/4" in the green toolbar, then click "Setup/Draw" in the main menu. After you set the top and bottom numbers, you'll have a chance to also change the tempo for the new time signature.

You should have received an automatic e-mail from paypal and from Musette. I resent the email from the Musette website. If you don't get it, and you're using a spam filter, check your spam e-mail folder.
