PeterM, Comments and suggestions are always welcome. Musette is constantly evolving. There is a "Draw/None" option which selects existing objects, but won't add anything. I attached a modified copy of your file. A note and rest were very close together in the last measure of the first staff. I adde...

Peter M, The online help had to be redone for Windows Vista and isn't yet as thorough as it should be. I'm assuming you're using Musette V2.9.6. If not, you should upgrade. 1. The help file Contents/Features/Block Markers should specify that that you need to first select menu item Draw/Staff/Block ...

Jim_L,

Yes. You can also use the tab key to start the next lyric, or paste from the clipboard with "Edit/Paste Lyrics" but of course Musette can't automatically align the text with notes unless there are notes.

Vit,

You can safely delete bak files. When you save a file, the bak file is the original file before you made any changes. It provides a way to recover the original file if needed.

Check for new versions on the website with menu option Help/Program Updates. You can install new versions over your old version or install new versions to a separate folder. If you keep and use multiple versions, you might have to edit your windows shortcuts. The latest version will load all your m...

BrianG,

Could you attach the file you're having trouble with, and tell us what kind of printer you have and the vertical and horizontal staff size you want for printing? Thanks.

BrianG,

The help file and staff height help topic have more on this. Assuming you want the staff to go all the way across the page, you probably won't need to change the staff width. Just remember that making the height bigger squeezes notes together as fewer big notes fit on each line.

James,

There isn't yet a standard way to do this, but you can create something with text and music symbols. The "Menus/Edit Menu/Paste Text" topic in the help file has more on this.
