Re: Problem since downloading latest version.

slarge,

Thanks for reporting the problem. I'd really appreciate it if you could post MusetteLog_12_09_18.txt and cz7.mus here as attachments. I'd like to find a solution.

Re: comment

adetiloyeanthony,

Just move one of the staves. From the green toolbar, select the staff object, then click the staff you want to move (consort or demo version, right-click on a staff) to highlight the staff. Then move up or down. Press "ESC" when you're done to deselect the staff.

Re: New computer, new download.

Steve,

I sent your authorization code to the email you used to order the Consort Edition upgrade. Click Musette menu "Setup/Validate" and copy the code from the email.

I hope you enjoy your new computer.

Re: Saving Project

Uncheck menu "Setup/Demo". Demo mode lets you try all the features, but you can not save.

Re: Changing the size of the staff.

Make sure the status bar at the bottom of the Musette window shows "Zoom 100%". The staff should be 25 pixels high. The title text in the examples files should be about 2 staff lines high. In the Consort Edition, to change the height or width of the staff: 1) Right click on a staff 2) Select "Setup ...

Re: clarinet score to flute transcription

I'm assuming both parts are already in treble clef and the only issue is range. You might have to transpose the top line up an octave. If you only want to transpose some of the top part, or you're using the free solo edition, select menu "Draw/Staff" and the dashed selection box from the green toolb...

Re: Saving my project.

The demo mode lets you try all the consort edition features but won't save. The free solo edition only allows 2 staves. If you upgrade to the consort edition you can add more staves and also save. You also get many other features. Visit http://musettemusic.com/upgrade.php to upgrade, and http://muse...

Re: Notes Don't Play Back Correctly

momkat, Thanks for posting the file. First delete the beams. Either click on the beam to hilite and press "delete" or left-click and hold while tapping the right mouse button. You'll notice the beamed notes are quarter notes. Probably not what you intended. Usually when quarter or half notes are bea...

Re: Playback problem

Let's backup. Stop me if I get anything wrong. 1) Musette V2.11.5 played normally before installing Windows XP Service Pack 3 2) The Juli@ and MPU-401 midi devices were installed when it worked 3) System Restore only backed up to a time after you installed both MIDI devices 4) Volume is properly adj...

Re: Playback problem

peterpiper, Sorry about your computer problems. http://musettemusic.com/help.php has a couple files to help diagnose the problem. First try "AntMarch.mid". If that doesn't play, download and run "MidiDev.exe" which displays the installed midi devices. Musette plays through the midi mapper. You can c...

Re: drums - percussion notation

As you noticed, Musette treats the characters as text, not as notes. If you want to experiment before the next version is ready, you could edit the music font file to replace the oval noteheads with x noteheads. The x noteheads should be exactly the same size and you'll have to replace font files to...

Re: drums - percussion notation

Ovidiu,

You can place music symbols anywhere as text by selecting a music font with menu "Setup/Draw" or "Setup/Properties" or right-clicking on the character or text. A future version will support different noteheads. You can sign up for e-mail announcements at http://musettemusic.com/beta.php

Re: LOST MY ENTIRE MUSETTE MUSIC WHEN COMPUTER WENT DOWN

Sorry to hear about your computer. If your original hard drive is OK, the files should still be there. Reinstalling musette keeps all your existing music files. Try searching for "*.mus" files from the windows "start" button. If your hard drive was damaged, the files may have been damaged. Some reco...
