Re: printing music
Nash777, That is strange. For starters, which version of windows and which printer do you use? I'd really appreciate it if you'd post the music file here as an attachment, and if possible, a scan or photo of the printout. Have you tried printing to a pdf file, such as with the free program pdf995 fr...

WoodyM, All questions and problems are taken as "suggested improvements". Check out the "Getting Started/Shortcuts" topic in the help file, and "Easy Entry" heading in the "Getting Started/Creating a New File" topic. There is currently no shortcut to change no...

Windows Vista requires MusSetup.exe
Vista doesn't seem to like programs that aren't officially installed. MusUnzip.exe and the experimental versions just unzip files to a folder and don't include an installation program. If using versions of Windows newer than XP, run MusSetup.exe. Once you install that, new versions of Musette, inclu...

Re: how to select only a chord with block marker
betanc,
Start the block marker by clicking within the treble cleff staff. Starting the block marker by clicking between braces includes all staves of the brace. The "Features/Block Markers" of the help file has more information.

Re: writing music for accordions
The free version allows scores consisting of either single staves or 2-stave braces. Each staff can use treble or bass clef. If you need more staves in a brace, or other clefs for your accordion music, you'll need to upgrade. You can purchase an upgrade authorization code from any computer with inte...

Re: Tansferring .mus files to MSword document
Lar, Download a pdf creation program like the free pdf995 and install the program. Use Windows Control Panel to make the pdf printing program your default printer. If you're using the experimental version of Musette V2.10.2 or later you can select a printer from Musette's "File/Printer Setup&qu...

Dick,
I'm glad you like the program. Mac and Linux versions are on the to-do list but I won't speculate about when they might be available.

Sandi,
No reported problems with Windows 7 so far. The best way to learn more is to watch the video demo and then download, install and work through the demo section of the help file by clicking menu option "Setup/Demo".

Re: Newbie question - how to get started?
Tom, Like most things, manuals are a work in progress and many manual updates start as questions here. Two good places to start are the demo video and the "Getting Started/Demo" topic in the help file. The solo edition doesn't allow mixing single staves and braces. Click "File/New&quo...

Re: How to uninstall Musette
mal456,
There should be an unins000.exe file in your Musette folder. As far as I know it's the same as using the Windows Control Panel "Remove Programs" option. Either way, you'll still need to remove any files or shortcuts you created after installation.
