Transposition result not correct

Post by betanc » Fri Jun 04, 2010 2:03 pm

I added all notes and chords in the key of F. Also I added the chord notations at the top of the treble cleff using the chord draw icon. Some chords included a bass note in the notation, e.g., F/D. When I saved the file under another name (so I would not lose the original) and tried to transpose it to the key of E (1 semitone down), some of notes and some of the Chord names did not transpose correctly. The key signature was correct (4 sharps) but some of the notes and chords stayed in their original notation, e.g., an F note did not change to an E, etc. Also some chord notations like the F changed to Fb (F flat) instead of changing to an E notation. What am I doing wrong?

betanc,

There was a problem with the forum not always accepting attachments. I think it's fixed now. Please try again. In your reply, you should see an attachment like the one below. Sorry for the inconvenience.

betanc,

There was a problem when transposing accidentals to certain keys. Download v2.9.12 for the fix.

I downloaded the v2.9.12 fix and installed it. The About menu info confirms the fix is installed. However, when i tried the fix to transpose the file in F, the same problem results. The F notes remain in F and the F Chord names change to Fb instead of E even though the key signature changes correctly to 4 sharps.

betanc,

I uploaded the wrong file. I changed the version to 2.9.13 and verified the uploaded file. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for your patience. Download v2.9.13.
