The "chord" tool

Post by Harper1 » Sun Oct 03, 2010 4:19 pm

Maetro,

When trying to use the "chord" tool to connect a "second" (e.g. a "A" with stem-up and the adjacent "B" with stem-down), all the stems disappear - leaving only the note-heads.

Ideally the program will give us a choice of which stem direction we want (much like choosing the "slur" direction).

Also on my wish list : (1) to be able to use the "chord" tool to connect notes from the treble clef to notes on the bass clef.
(2) add "D.C. al fine" to the list of symbols.

BTW: love the "bar-number disable" feature!

Harper1,

I assume you're using experimental version 2.10. If you have the consort edition, you can use the "Format/Stems" menu option to change stem direction. You can also replace a note with another note with the stem going in the opposite direction. Help file topic "Features/Chords" has more information.

Until there's a more direct option, you can add "DC al Fine" with the "Draw/Text" menu option.
