Additional symbols - fermata (pause) symbol

Post by Hilarypatricia » Thu Jan 29, 2015 7:21 am

Dear Fermata, where are you when I need you? I need my singers not to cut off the last note of the song, so I need that PAUSE symbol. Sorry to put this question in this forum. I know it's somewhere in the instructions, but I can NOT find it. Thanks.

If you've upgraded to the consort edition, the fermata is last symbol in the "accidentals" green toolbar. Display it with menu "Draw/Accidentals", or F5. The "Draw/All" tool window also includes a fermata. After choosing the "fermata" from the green toolbar, click on a notehead, and slide the fermata up or down, placing it either above or below the note. Musette automatically flips fermatas below a note.

If you're using the free version, you can try consort edition features with menu "Setup/Demo", but you won't be able to save.
