Hi Maestro,
I am attaching a file (hopefully...) in which the naming is correct (flute, cello, piano, piano) from the beginning through measure 160. However, from measure 161 through the end I want to add another staff for Voice, between the flute and cello staves. I am having a hard time doing this : anything I try seems to mess up the previous namings ... Could you please help? Many thanks,
Leo Marcus

leomarcus,

You should be using the "Setup/Properties" menu option with a single staff highlighted. The "Features/Staves and Braces/Changing Parts in the Score" help file topic has more information.

Hi Maestro,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
However, when I change the second staff in the brace of five staves, which was mislabeled, it goes back and changes all the previous staves with the same label, even those were *correctly* labeled....

Any further advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Leo,

Assuming you're using V2.9.7, scroll to measure 161. Hilite the top staff (Cello) and click "Setup/Properties". Click "Flute" in the "Staff/Part" box. Click "OK". Repeat for each staff. You might want to rename the 2 piano parts something like "Piano RH" and "Piano LH" to keep them separate.
