I have just downloaded this program but have encountered a small problem, I have checked all the "help" issues, but have one thing that I would like clarified.
I entered a string of notes on the score, but would like to know how to start a second staff below it to continue the score.

Use the "Draw/Staff" menu selection.

The only piano staffs I've been able to create are joined at the left by a double bar. I'd like to have the double bar appear only on the first braced staff, and have the succeeding staffs begin with a single bar. So far, I have not succeeded. The Help mentions clicking within a staff to create another one, but I haven't been able to make that work, so far. It would also be nice to have the fancy bracket type of brace ({).

If you're asking if there's a way to change the appearance of left-side bars joining all staves within a brace, there isn't.
