Can't add accidentals

some reason when i try to draw accidentals, they won't appear
i looked in the help file but it wasn't there
can anyone help me?

Hi Nomad,

Accidentals can only attach to notes. Select something from the "accidental" menu bar, then click on a note. If the note itself is hilited (red), press ESC to unhilite, then attach the accidental, otherwise you'll just move the hilited note.
