The handle is invalid

I just downloaded Musette and am so eager to start using it, but when I go to do anything I get a box that say "The handle is invalid" and I can't proceed. What causes this and how do I fix it?

First lets recheck the installation. Remove the current version with Windows Control Panel. Just to be safe, download MusSetup.exe again from
http://musettemusic.com/download.php and install.
If that doesn't fix it, click Musette menu "File/Example Files". Choose file types "All Files". Look for a file called MusetteLog_yy_mm_dd.txt, where "yy_mm_dd" are today's year, month and day. The log file contains more information about the problem. Post the file here as an attachment.
